
ANSAR of SoCal
The objective of the ANSAR of SoCal is to connect new Afghan arrivals with the necessary legal, educational/outreach, mental health, housing, and social services needed to reasonably adjust to life in the Greater Los Angeles area. Additionally, the organizations that make up the ANSAR network will serve as social connectors for newly arrived Afghan individuals and families. We look forward to coordinating with federal, state, and local elected officials and governments, local resettlement agencies, and national organizations to best coordinate our local efforts.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3), grassroots civil rights and advocacy group. CAIR is America’s largest Islamic civil liberties group, with regional offices nationwide. The national headquarters is located on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. The California offices are located in San Francisco, Sacramento, San Diego, and Greater Los Angeles.
Afghan American Muslim Outreach (AAMO) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit, non-political grassroots organization established in October of 2006 to serve the Afghan community through social activism, fostering an Afghan American Muslim identity, and empower future generations with the tools and means to enhance their education and skills, and to pursue higher education to better serve their communities with confidence and higher skills.
Hajar crafts every course, workshop, seminar and event meticulously to serve the needs of Muslim girls and women in the West online and offline. The organization’s sisterhood is dedicated to supporting and helping each other become what Allah has intended for us to become through disseminating knowledge of the authentic Islamic sciences.
Khalil Center is a psychological and spiritual community wellness center advancing the professional practice of psychology rooted in Islamic principles. An initiative designed to address the widespread prevalence of social, psychological, familial, relational and spiritual issues of Muslim communities.
Uplift Charity is disrupting the cycle of poverty by supporting rental assistance, eviction prevention, vocational training, refugee resettlement and food security. The organization seeks to assist those in need by empowering them with the tools, support and resources necessary to impact their long-term success and improve their socioeconomic status.
ICNA Relief USA seeks to alleviate human suffering by providing caring and compassionate service to victims of adversities and survivors of disasters. ICNA Relief USA strives to build healthy communities, strengthen families and create opportunities for those in despair while maintaining their dignity and advocating for their basic human needs.
Sahaba Initiative’s philosophy is to empower and sustain families in the American diaspora with programs that address mental health issues, poverty, hunger while also focusing on creating a narrative and culture of service. The initiative aspires to build a legacy for the future that’s rooted in supporting one another and bringing people together of all backgrounds to empower and serve the most vulnerable.
The Muslim American Society (MAS) is a dynamic charitable, religious, social, cultural, and educational organization. Over the past two decades, MAS has expanded to more than 50 chapters across the United States. MAS offers unique programs and services that seek to better the individual and, in turn, the greater society by imparting Islamic knowledge, promoting community service, engaging in political activism, and much more.
Access California Services is a culturally sensitive community-based organization dedicated to empowering underserved populations, focusing on Arab-American and Muslim-American communities. The organization strives to enhance the quality of life and foster self-determination through direct health & human services.
The Shia Muslim Council of Southern California (SMC) is an independent umbrella organization comprising of various Shia Muslim centers, mosques, and organizations in southern California. The primary objective of SMC is to provide a platform to facilitate the exchange of ideas and experiences to enhance and support religious, social, humanitarian and educational development initiatives, and to cooperate with like-minded organizations to advance unity amongst Muslims.
